DFO's National Electronic Logbook (ELOGS) - Extended deadline

This is a notice regarding DFO’s national electronic logbook (ELOGS) initiative.
Please note that the deadline for phasing out paper logbooks has been extended to 2024.
N.B. Offices
Due to the increase in COVID cases in the province, the Tracadie office and the Shediac office will be temporarily closed to the public. If you need to access the offices, please call so that we can unlock the door to let you in. We will accept a maximum of 2 people at a time inside the office. If the maximum capacity is reached, you will have to wait for one person to leave before you can enter.
Members wanting to access the office will also have to respect the rules issued by Public Health:

Virtual workshop to discuss lost or abandoned fishing gear
In collaboration with Homarus, we invite you to a workshop to discuss the challenges related to the detection, recovery, and solutions of lost or abandoned fishing gear.
The bilingual virtual workshop will take place on December 20 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm on Zoom.

Lobster Minimum Size Survey
N.B. Members
Next week, you will receive a registered letter in the mail to participate in the vote on the question of increasing the minimum lobster size in LFA 23 and 25. In order for your vote to count, you will need to return your voting response in the return envelope by December 31.
The results will be analyzed by the NB Council and a recommendation will be made to the DFO based on the vote results.
To prepare you for the vote on minimum lobster size, we have posted all the presentations from the 2021 Science and Fishing Workshops.
