LFA23 (Project #1) - Work will be completed by day trips. The port of call for loading and unloading the vessel at the beginning and end of each day and at the end of the project will be either New Mills, Jacquet River, Belledune or Pointe-Verte, NB.

The work will be performed between July 11 and 29, 2022 for 5 consecutive days. The vessel must be available to begin work at 06:00 hours on July 11, 2022. The contractor will be notified of the exact start date with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

The Coalition of Atlantic and Quebec Fishing Organizations has responded to the announcement of the immediate closure of herring and mackerel commercial fisheries with a Press Release.

Message from Transport Canada

The department informs us that this year, portable aluminum decks will not be accepted for fishing, for all types of fisheries including crab and herring. The Atlantic Division of Transport Canada is currently working on an official letter, which will be communicated to you.

Local AGMs

The New Brunswick Local AGMs will be held in person. As a result of the new announcement from New Brunswick Public Health, the proof of vaccination is no longer required to attend AGMs. However, masks and social distancing will be mandatory.

Local 1: Friday, March 4th, at the Inkerman Community Center, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Local 2: Wednesday, March 2nd, at the Richibucto Town Hall, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Local 3 : Thursday, March 3rd, at the Rodd in Miramichi, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Local 5: Monday, February 28th at the Shediac Multifunctional Center, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
