The Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries has prepared a friendly survey for fishermen on propulsion technologies for fishing boats. The objective is to raise awareness among fishermen of the availability of safer, greener and more fuel-efficient engine technologies, and to gauge their interest in these technologies. In addition, the results of the survey will enable the province to position itself and put in place an action plan to eventually enable the conversion of boats to these more modern technologies, if necessary.
