In order to conduct the draws for all Communities of Interest on the same day, the draws will take place virtually again this year.
Here are the details:
The draws will be held virtually, at the office, on February 28th, 2023, following the usual procedures.
It should be noted that, as usual, we will only be able to confirm the allocations once the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada has announced the snow crab fishing plan (usually a few weeks before the fishery).
We will only contact the first names on the lists to inform the fishermen who are most likely to obtain an allocation. It is not necessary to call the office to see if your name has been drawn.
A list of eligible fishermen for the 2023 Draw of your community has been included in your envelopes. Please make sure that your name appears on this list if you believe you are eligible. If your name does not appear on this list and you believe it should be, or if you think there is an error on the list, please contact us before 4:00 pm on February 24th, 2023, at (506) 395-6366.

To virtually watch your community’s draw live, please register in advance by sending your name and email address to tracadie@mfu-upm.com or by phone at (506) 395-6366 before 4:00 pm on February 24th, 2023.
The draw schedule and the Zoom link will be sent to you by email the day before the draw.
