Notice to Fish Harvesters
Tracadie, N.-B – May 1st, 2026 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) announce the opening of the lobster fishery in LFA23, subareas A and B, and a delay in LFA 23, subareas C and D.
The lobster season will for subareas A and B will open at 6 a.m. on Sunday May 3rd, 2026 and close on July 3rd, 2026.
The lobster fishery in LFA23, subareas C and D, is delayed and will not open on May 4th, 2026, as previously announced, due to adverse weather conditions.
